Ladysmith Village
Snead is proud to be part of a small group of select builders to have been chosen to build custom homes in Ladysmith Village, a Traditional Neighborhood Development being developed in Caroline County.

Seventy-six years ago Miss Clara Smith, a prominent resident of Caroline County, had the vision of creating a new town. She commissioned the platting of a parcel of land that was located on Old Telegraph Road. She called her project Ladysmith. While the town did not develop, the area adopted the name and became known as Ladysmith.

The time has come for Clara Smith's vision to become a reality.

Ladysmith is a community that is designed to include an elementary school, a public library, recreation fields, a Y.M.C.A., miles of walking and biking trails, a commercial center, community recreation area and acres of green space.

The center of the first neighborhood is in Founders Park, located on Clara Smith Street. It seems appropriate that the first neighborhood of the village be called “Founders Park” as it recognizes both those who built Caroline County and those who will be founders of the new village.

Each home in Founders Park will receive a bronze plaque embossed with your family's name and the date that you became a founder of Ladysmith.

Welcome to Ladysmith, your new hometown.
